Mississauga Power Plant

The Mississauga facility is a 108 MW combined cycle, natural gas-fired power station. The station has two LM6000 PC gas turbines and a third (steam) turbine, making up the full station capability. The plant supplies electricity to the provincial grid via the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) under a long-term contract with Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation (OEFC).

The plant was commissioned in 1992. It is located adjacent to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in Mississauga, Ontario. The station is operated by TransAlta.
